Assignment 4: Functional Prototype

Functional Prototype Presentation (March 28 & March 30): #

Each team is going to give an 5-minute presentation consisting of the following information:

  • Progress of your game development (each team member should explain his/her contribution)
  • Game prototype demonstration
  • Features that you plan to implement before the next presentation

File Submissions (Monday, March 27 at 11:59 PM): #

Zip together and submit the following files to either Moodle (less than 500 MB) or CS classes server (classes.csc.lsu.edu):

  • A runnable Windows executable + data folder
  • Updated OPPM sheet
  • Presentation slides
  • Progress report (font size 12pt, single-spaced, 1 inch margins) consisting of at least the following content:
    • Compared to what you proposed, what is the status of the game
    • Describe the software architecture of the game
    • Rules and mechanics that have been implemented
    • Art and sound design completed
    • Explain each team member’s contribution
    • Plans for next cycle

Use ONLY one team member’s account (recommend project lead’s). Upload the zipped file to folder “prog1”. Run the following commands:

$ p_copy 1

or, if you previously submitted files:

$ p_copy -o 1

then, to verify details of submitted files:

$ verify 1

Grading: #

  • Game design – 60%
  • Presentation and demo – 20%
  • Documentation (report, slides, OPPM sheet) – 10%
  • Individual performance (evaluated according to OPPM and report) – 10%

(Note: no-show team members will not receive the presentation credits without an excused absence.)
