My name is Anas Mahmoud, known to most people as Nash, I am an assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Louisiana State University. I direct the Software Engineering and Evolution Lab (SEEL) at LSU. I received my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Mississippi State University. I also received my Master's degree from the same department.
My research interests are in the field of empirical software engineering, with an emphasis on requirements engineering and static code analysis. In my research, I tackle subjects related to app store analytics, natural language analysis of open source software, code navigation and retrieval, human-computer interaction, and Software Engineering education.
Consider submitting your Requirements Engineering work to RE'20, to be held in the beautiful city of Zurich, Switzerland.
Check out Crimer, my students' class project that turned into real business for fighting crime.
I am looking for students with strong interests in Software Engineering research to join SEEL. If you are interested in working with us, please email me your most recent CV or stop by my office to discuss your options.
