Changing Graphics Settings in CSC Labs to Fix Blury Text or Tiny Text

Computers in CSC labs have ultra high resolution displays. If text appears very tiny in a program (such as Net Beans), you'll need "Setting A" below to enlarge the text. You can change back by using "Setting B" which takes full advantage of the QHD or UHD display. If another student changes settings, you may have to correct them when you sign-in to suit your preference.

Setting A (lower resolution for compatibility with programs like Net Beans): right-click the Windows desktop and choose "Display Settings". First change the resolution to "1920 x 1080" and click "Keep Changes". Next, change scaling to "100%". Now close the window, sign out of the computer and back in again.

Setting B (optimal resolution for most programs): right-click the Windows desktop and choose "Display Settings". Simply change to the recommended resolution and click "Keep Changes". This should also set your scaling automatically, but you can increase scaling further if you wish. Sign out of the computer and back in to make scaling changes take effect.
