About Me

I am an assistant professor of the CS department at Louisiana State University. I am currently looking for one highly motivated Ph.D. student to join the research on Cyber Security and Privacy, Smart Health Care, Mobile Sensing and Computing, Internet of Things, Machine Learning and Wireless Communications. Chen Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University and he worked at WINLAB. He obtained his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from University of Electronic and Science of Technology of China (UESTC). [Google Scholar] [CV]

·         [August 2019] Our work “Defeating Hidden Audio Channel Attacks on Voice Assistants via Audio-Induced Surface Vibrations” has been accepted by the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC 2019).

·         [February 2019] Our journal paper “Continuous and Noninvasive Fine-grained Sleep Monitoring: Hearing Your Breathing Leveraging Smartphones” is accepted by IEEE Internet of Things Journal (IEEE IoT 2019).

·         [November 2018] Our paper “WristSpy: Snooping Passcodes in Mobile Payment Using Wrist-worn Wearables” is accepted by IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (IEEE INFOCOM 2019). (Acceptance rate: 288/1464 = 19.7%).

·         [November 2018] Our poster paper "Poster: Personal PIN Leakage from Wearable Devices" has received the Best Poster Award Runner-up from the ACM International Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking (ACM MOBICOM 2018). 

·         [July 2018] Our work “Towards In-baggage Suspicious Object Detection Using Commodity WiFi” was reported by CBS TV, BBC News, NBC New York, IEEE Engineering 360, Philadelphia Inquirer, Science Daily and 50 other media outlets.

·         [May 2018] Our paper “Towards In-baggage Suspicious Object Detection Using Commodity WiFi” has received the Best Paper Award in the IEEE Conference on Communications and Network Security (IEEE CNS 2018).
