Robotics Initiative
Computer Science is offering two exciting new robotics courses and students are entering national competitions. We have also received a generous donation of equipment.
Two robotics courses have been added to our regular schedule. In the Fall, we are offering CSC 2700 (1 credit) which is an entry level course. In Spring 2012, we will begin the more advanced Robotics Systems, CSC 4700 (3 credits).
Additionally, Computer Science students (both graduate and undergraduate) are preparing for the national VEX Robotics Competition. This is an exciting opportunity to show the world what we are capable of.
We would also like to thank the SchoolFiles Software Company for a generous donation of robotics equipment and accessories valued at $3,000.
LSU Computer Science has a long history of robotics research going back to 1985 when the Robotics Research Laboratory was established by Dr. S.S. Iyengar.
