The LSU Department of Computer Science hosted a 5-day intensive orientation program for incoming Computer Science students. The orientation gave an introduction to the computer science department and a first look at the computer science curriculum. Additionally, the orientation will offered a broad overview of elementary computer science concepts and basic math skills. The participants was intensively engaged in hands-on programming activities through the duration of the program. The participants also had the opportunity to interact with the world class faculty from the Computer Science Department. The LSU Career Services and the Center for Academic Success was also actively involved in providing guidelines on how to establish a foundation towards becoming a successful Computer Science professional.
