Title:A Web Based Application for Database Manipulation and Data Mining

Abstract:

A web based data management and mining system has been developed for manipulating and analyzing a car database, based on the three-tier client-server architecture and Naive Bayesian Classification. The car database used in this project was downloaded from UCI Machine Learning Database Repository, with 1728 data instances, 6 attributes and 1 class. The application allows the user to retrieval, update, insert, and delete data on line. Security to access database is checked using password and username. A data mining feature is implemented using Navie Bayesian Classification.

Software used in this project include: Java Servlet, J2EE, MS SQL Server 2000, MS SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram.
